2026 Fall Semester Opening Ceremony Held at the National Academy of Education Administration
The National Academy of Education Administration (NAEA) held its 2026 Fall Semester Opening Ceremony on August 31. Mr. Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education and President of NAEA, delivered a keynote report, while Mr. Peng Shi, Executive Vice President, presided over the event.


Mr. Huai highlighted historic achievements in China's education sector since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party. He called for a deeper understanding of the relationship between education and modernization, emphasizing the need to recognize emerging opportunities and strengthen confidence in building a leading educational nation.
He outlined key priorities for implementing the 15th Five-Year Plan for Education Development, including fostering ethical development; ensuring equitable, high-quality public education; enhancing support for scientific innovation and talent cultivation; strengthening the teaching workforce; expanding international cooperation; and deepening comprehensive education reform.
Mr. Huai urged participants to strengthen their political awareness, deepen understanding of General Secretary Xi Jinping's guiding principles, and enhance professional capabilities to better serve education reform and development.
Over 780 participants attended, including participants from five programs: the Program for Newly Appointed Higher Education Leaders; the 7th Program for Young and Middle-Aged Educational Officials; the 11th Advanced Program for High-Level University Talents; the Basic Education Implementation Seminar; and the Program for Newly Recruited Civil Servants and Staff of Ministry-affiliated Institutions.
