NAEA International Education Forum 2022 Held
On 1 April, the NAEA International Education Forum 2022 was held in Beijing. The theme of the forum is “University in International Cooperation: Practices & Insights”. Four university leaders invited from Australia, Singapore, UK and China respectively delivered keynote speeches both online and offline at the forum. The forum is an integral part of the course of NAEA university leadership program. About 80 program participants attended the forum.
Dr. Yu Jingtian, Vice President of NAEA, opened the forum. He pointed out that universities should play a bigger role in this “VUCA” world. Universities should not only be responsible for talents cultivation and the development of a country or region, but also play a positive role in rational communication between different cultures.
The online keynotes speakers are professor Shen Zuowei, Vice Provost of the National University of Singapore, professor Kent Anderson, Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the University of Newcastle, Australia, and professor Gavin Brown, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of University of Liverpool. Professor Lou Yongqi, participant of the 67th University Leadership Program and Vice Presidentg of Tongji University delivered the keynote speech at the venue.
After the keynote speech, the participants and the speakers had an in-depth exchange on the internationalization team building of the university, education informatization, management of international students, cooperative education, etc. (English version By LI Qiang & JING Meiying, Office for International Cooperation, NAEA)
